Datafolio launches a partnership with Xiaomi Store Italia to offer customers of the official Xiaomi stores chain, peace of mind during their trips.


Datafolio, Europe's most innovative pay-as-you-go insurtech, continues its expansion in Italy and announces a new partnership with Xiaomi Store Italia. The purpose of the collaboration is to enable all Xiaomi’s Italian customers to access an adapted and modern insurance solution for their daily trips. And as a plus for customers: some bonus credit to be used on the Datafolio app will be offered to new subscribers.


Following the mobilization in favor of eco-responsible mobility, we are witnessing in all European countries a progressive reduction in the use of thermal vehicles and, at the same time, a growing adherence to a new kind of mobility, so-called "soft mobility." In 2020 for instance, not less than 83,000 electric scooters were sold in Italy, and cycling is not to be outdone, with 30million bicycles circulating in the country. However, the massive spread of e-scooters and e-bikes in a road environment primarily designed for motor vehicles has led to a sharp increase in road accidents related to these new uses; a situation that raises awareness of the risks and the need for preventive measures.

Faced with this challenge, Xiaomi Store Italia - the chain of official Xiaomi stores, present in Italy with 34 outlets in major shopping centers - has decided to act, choosing to offer its customers Datafolio's insurance solution, thanks to the intermediation of the Italian broker Mediorischi. This solution, unique on the market, will allow Xiaomi Store customers to insure themselves for road accidents, on any vehicle (scooter, moped, bike, motorcycle, car), whatever the vehicle origin (owned, rented, free-floating) and paying only for the kilometers driven.
